Nina and Santa Maria with a side of Bacon

In early July replicas of Christopher Columbus' ships the Nina and Santa Maria visited the city of Wyandotte.  I headed down to see them.  At 10 in the morning it was 90 degrees out so we didn't stay long.

This library is a block or so from my work.  I rather like the name.

The ships were docked at Bishop Park.

These ships were tiny.  Its hard to believe that they were used to cross the oceans.  I can't imagine spending months on them.

I'm glad I went.  I might go again if it weren't so bloody hot.  It doesn't look like it, but there were a lot of people there and it was pretty crowded.  The pictures I took on the boats were pretty limited.
