Crisp Point Lighthouse

Last summer I visited Crisp Point Lighthouse. The lighthouse itself isn't terribly impressive, when compared to other examples of Great Lakes lighthouses, but the setting, and lack of people, make it well worth while.

  1. If you catch the lighthouse at the right time, it is pretty impressive. The right angle helps because of the large rocks by it....

  2. I think architecturally it isn't that impressive. I think Whitefish Point, Mackinac City and Gulpin Point Lighthouse are all much more interesting. I'm not saying it isn't a nice light, just that it is rather plain and basic.
