Last summer I visited Crisp Point Lighthouse. The lighthouse itself isn't terribly impressive, when compared to other examples of Great Lakes lighthouses, but the setting, and lack of people, make it well worth while.
I think architecturally it isn't that impressive. I think Whitefish Point, Mackinac City and Gulpin Point Lighthouse are all much more interesting. I'm not saying it isn't a nice light, just that it is rather plain and basic.
I have had an interest in photography since the time I was a young boy going to take photos with my father. In high school I purchased a Nikon FE2 and grew to love it. Today I still take pictures, though not as often as I used to. I'd rather get one decent shot than shoot dozens of pictures hoping for a good one. If you see anything that interests you, let me know. Most of my pictures are available.
If you catch the lighthouse at the right time, it is pretty impressive. The right angle helps because of the large rocks by it....
